Hello and welcome to my website.

I have a question for you. I found this quote on a book-review and I was wondering; how many parents feel this way?

There are hundreds of books that give parents advice on everything from weaning to toilet training, from discipline to nutrition. But in spite of this overwhelming amount of information, there is very little research-based advice for parents on how to raise their children to be well rounded and achieve their full potential, helping them learn to take on life’s challenges, communicate well with others, and remain committed to learning.”

If this is an accurate description of your feelings then you have reached the right website because this is exactly what I am all about. Let me tell you a little more about myself.

My name is Paula-Elizabeth and I’m passionate about children’s holistic education and well-being. This passion led me to become Montessori trained (aged 2.5-6 years). I was also very interested and keen to learn how to support children aged 0-3 because I was fascinated by the fact that they are (initially) unable to verbally communicate and I wanted to understand how best to support their holistic needs through intuition and observation. Thus I have also work extensively with this age group too.

When I worked in numerous private homes with families children would often ask me; “Yes, but how do you know?” This had me curious; “What do they think I know that no one else does?!” My subconscious mind naturally sort the answer and I realised that my increased awareness around them made it seem as if I knew something that no one else did. Children have always gravitated towards me and this would partly be why; children like adults who seem “clued up about life” and appear to “know what to do”.

Please also feel free to read and comment on my blog. I’m currently working with parental insight and information website; www.yellowbrick.me and some of my blog entries are featured on their. I’m also steadily working on a series of educational videos for parents that will be featured on there too.
